„To me, wine is a dream and an adventure, which I am permitted to experience and accompany every year again and again.“

Mother Nature leaves its unmistakable mark on each and every vintage, a personal touch which accompanies the wine throughout the whole process of its making. My task is to understand the links between soil, climate, grapes and finally, wine.

When they are harvested, the grapes are a conglomerate of substances and qualities of great value which can be preserved in the cellar, without being influenced or changed in a way. The decisive process takes place in the vineyard. There is why man and plant must bond; this bond gives wine its ultimate character.

The vines reach to the sky proudly displaying the grapes to the sun: the soil of ancient Carnuntum (which was, 2000 years ago a province of the Roman Empire situated south-west of Vienna) so rich not only in substances, but also in historical events and nourishes them.

Wine should give pleasure and enrich the meals you share with your friends. I wish you a delightful time and lovely meals – while enjoying glass after glass of my wines.

My favourite job by winemaking
The working and chatting together in the vineyard and at harvesting – the harvest is always special! Watching nature, the search for the character of the wine, the grape mash barefoot tramping, wine tasting and trying to understand; actually I enjoy all the jobs except driving the tractor.

Depending on my mood anything from sparkling wine (Perlenspiel) across to Pr1ma Donna, Flora and Sauvignon Blanc back to red from Zweigelt as far as Diva and Blaufränkisch
