Welcome to Weiberwirtschaft

Welcome to the world of Birgit Wiederstein, a dedicated winemaker from Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine region of Lower Austria. For many years, Birgit has been dedicated to biodynamic viticulture and produces wines that reflect the rhythms of nature and the unique character of Carnuntum.

Their vineyards and wines are certified according to Lacon’s organic guidelines and cultivated according to biodynamic principles: working in harmony with the lunar calendar, using natural compost preparations, and promoting biodiversity in the soil and vineyards. These methods bring vitality, energy, and authenticity to every bottle.

Biodynamic Wines by Birgit Wiederstein

  • Zweigelt – elegant and full of character, typical of Carnuntum
  • Rosé – fresh, fruity, and delicately structured
  • White Cuvées —natural, unfiltered, and full of vitality
  • Experimental Wines – Creative Biodynamic Expressions in Limited Editions

Why Biodynamics?

For Birgit, biodynamics is more than just agriculture—it is an attitude of respect: respect for nature, for tradition, and for the people who enjoy her wines. Each wine is vinified with minimal intervention, left unfiltered, and carefully bottled.

If you’re looking for authentic biodynamic wines from a female winemaker in Carnuntum, Austria, you’ll find what you’re looking for with Birgit Wiederstein.
