    Wiederstein in house number 26

    On 13 July 1876 Franz Wiederstein (*10.2.1844) married Katharina Schübl (*24.6.1847) from house No. 26 in Göttlesbrunn. These were my great-great-grandparents. At that time, the vineyards zwiering, Gatterer and the then 150-year-old cellar with press house in the Kirag’stetten were already present at the house.

    First wine at age of 19

    In the summer after graduating from the School of Environment and Economics in Ysper, it was decided during a wine tasting with Hungarian wines that I would visit the wine management colleague in Krems. In autumn I made my first wine, a Riesling.

    I visit the wine school Klosterneuburg and work in the winery on the side.

    Full-time Winemaker & Start Distillation

    After graduating from high school in Klosterneuburg, I become a full-time winemaker at the parental farm and Grete starts burning liquor.

    Cellar New & Renovation Vault

    Wine cellar in the Kirag stetten Göttlesbrunn, which was built before 1750 and is thus one of the oldest cellars of the village, is being renovated.

    Potstill comes to the farm

    Gretes’ new potstill is set up and put into operation.

    We are converting the vineyards from controlled integrated production to organic farming.

    After three very different years, which we biologically supervised and after completing the Bio Certificate Course, we signed the control contract.
