As the name suggests, there used to be a fenced cattle pasture (gate). Now, in this slightly boiler-like location, Sauvignon Blanc – vines are growing in our case. We planted two types of this variety here in 2002. One type is rather grassy – vegetal and the other is reminiscent of pineapple, kiwi and citrus in its aromas. These two Sauvignon Blanc types and the extremely complex soil give the wine its many faces.

In this vineyard, I see myself as a conductor who has an entire orchestra at my disposal and I just have to make sure that all the instruments create harmony; sometimes they all play together, sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly, or the aromas play one after the other in this beautiful Sauvignon Blanc symphony.
